🌟 Powering Dreams, Doubling Impact

Donate Today to @USAWOMENSBANDY on Venmo

In 2025, your generosity helped the U.S. Women’s National Bandy Team reach the World Championship in Sweden.  In 2026, you once again made it possible for us to compete—this time in Pori, Finland.

For the third World Championship in a row, your support helped us bring home the Bronze medal.

Every donation was matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Richardson Family, allowing us to meet—and exceed—our fundraising goals.

We are deeply grateful to every donor and to the Richardson family for believing in our athletes, our dreams, and the future of women’s bandy in the United States.  It is an honor to represent Team USA, and we do so proudly with your encouragement, support, and commitment lifting us every step of the way.

About Bandy

Bandy is a winter sport and has a common background with soccer, ice hockey, and field hockey. Bandy is played on an ice surface the size of a soccer field and is best described as field hockey on skates. Each team plays with 11 players on the ice, including a goalkeeper.

The aim of Bandy is to score goals by hitting an orange or pink ball the approximate size of a tennis ball into the opposing team's net with a curved stick four feet in length. Depending on how the player strikes the ball with the stick, they can put a spin on the ball, making it curve, knuckle or dive. The goal measures 7' x 11.5'. While the goalkeeper wears more padding than other players, they do not use a stick as they are the only player allowed to use their hands to control the ball.

Games consist of two 45-minute halves. A ten-minute interval takes place at half-time when the team change ends. The rules of bandy are very similar to the rules of soccer.
